TravelBuddy set out to solve one of the biggest gaps in ride-sharing: real trust and real safety. Traditional platforms rely on surface-level ratings, shallow identity checks, and reactive safety tools. Travelers lack meaningful ways to gauge credibility before accepting a ride, and current onboarding flows don’t establish confidence.

We redesigned TravelBuddy as a trust-first mobility platform—where safety signals, transparent identity, and behavioral assurance come together to help riders make confident travel decisions.
Using deep research, behavior-led UX, and safety intelligence, we created a system that redefines what a safe shared ride feels like.

We conducted mock rides, role-play drills, scene reconstructions, and interviews with experienced ride-sharing users to understand safety gaps and emotional triggers. Our analysis revealed:
